Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)

This is the song that inspired the name of our adoption blog, which will hopefully chronicle all the ups and downs of this newest journey that God has called us to.  Josh and I both love this song so much.  It speaks to our feelings about how mysterious and unknown the future is.

We've seen the face of a child, but don't yet know if he will be our son.

We don't know how our financial needs are going to be met.

We don't really have any idea how long this process will take or how all the details that we can't control will play out.

Honestly, we're pretty much terrified sometimes!

But we can absolutely resonate with the lyric, "Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders, let me walk upon the waters, wherever you would call me." 

How fitting that this song is titled Oceans, as we will literally cross oceans to bring our child home.  We know that our feet may fail...there is no way we can do this in our own strength.  But we trust that God has moved us into this unknown with the promise that we will walk on water if we keep our eyes on Him.

This is our prayer, that God would be glorified.
