We did get out and walk around the city and visited a few gardens. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed just soaking up the sunshine.
Everyone here smokes. I think the streets smell like cigarette smoke and it is impossible to avoid it as you walk around, so that's different. Also, we've been without a guide all weekend since we came in early and it's been a little challenging. We are definitely first time world travelers! Google translate is wonderful if you can get on wifi!
We ate at a German restaurant yesterday. Yummy potato noodles, meatballs and veggies. It was delicious, but I've been having some tummy issues since then so I'll be keeping it bland today.
We are so grateful for the chance to experience a bit of China and take in Zachary's culture. It is beautiful, all these people whom Jesus loves. What a privilege to be here.
Overall we are having fun and are ready to get Zachary. One more day to go!! We do paperwork in the morning and then meet him at 3pm at the Civil Affairs office. (It'll be 3am on Sunday for y'all so when you wake up Mon morning we should have him!)
